PROsport Performance confirm first drivers for GT4 European Series

German based team PROsport Performance have today confirmed the first of two driver line ups for the forthcoming SRO GT4 European Series that the team will be competing in using their new Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4's.

Experienced tin top racer Florian Thoma will compete alongside a more experienced former karting and single seater racer, Indian Akhil Rabindra in the European series that will run in parallel to the teams ADAC GT4 Germany commitments (with not necessarily with the same drivers).

Thoma (23) has racing experience many within the ADAC TCR series over recent years whereas Rabindra (22), a former FIA Young Driver Academy and McLaren GT Academy driver is more proficient in the GT4 class having driven in the GT4 European Series for the last two years.


Speaking with those from Prodrive yesterday at Donington Park at the British GT Championship Media Day, the team have yet to receive any of their Vantage GT3 and GT4 cars that they have on order for the ADAC GT Masters, ADAC GT4 Germany and GT4 European series but with up to 6 new Vantage GT4's now leaving the factory each week they and the team have confirmed that the first batch of cars will be arriving in just couple of weeks time.

Whilst the team await delivery of their new stock of race cars, the team have some pre-season testing booked in over the 12-15th March in Barcelona with the AMR's blue coloured development car that has been busy to date with customer teams in the British GT Championship.
