New Vantage GT3 ready to race with D'Station AMR in Super Taikyu

Thursday, July 18, 2019

Its back to track action this weekend for the #777 ST-X class D'Station Racing Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT3 in the fourth round of the Pirelli Super Taikyu Series from the Autopolis circuit on the southern most island of Japan.

Having skipped the third round from Fuji duets their European commitments, the Japanese team enjoyed a successful start to their new Aston Martin Racing relationship with a win at Suzuka and a further podium next time out at Sugo, each time with the help of AMR factory driver Darren Turner alongside team regulars Satoshi Hoshino and Tsubasa Kondo.

Joining Hoshino and Kondo will for this round be joined by team favourite from their parallel Super GT GT300 season in Tomonobu Fujii.

What is is that the team have issued photographs of their #777 car liveried over the factory base white finish. We know that at the last round of both the Super Taikyu and Super GT, both cars had been wrapped in their usual metallic green finish but these photographs and texts from the team now confirm that they now have a third Vantage GT3 chassis within their possession. That new car had its first shakedown with the team last week at Fuji with Fujii behind the wheel.

The new Vantage GT3 does look good in white anyway!

Testing and Free Practice for the meeting starts tomorrow ahead of Sundays five hour endurance race.
