D'Station Racing test their new AMR addition at Fuji

Thursday, March 19, 2020

Whilst competitive motor racing as public attended events are still suffering under the strains continuing postponements and cancellations well into the foreseeable future all around the world, at least general testing still appears to be permissible at some circuits so it has been great to see the Japanese based D'Station Racing AMR try out their latest acquisition at the Fuji International Speedway circuit earlier this week.

As announced back in February, the team will be entering both an Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT3 and AMR V8 Vantage GT4 into this year's national Pirelli Super Taikyu Series and having only received this latest addition to their AMR and Porsche stable just over a week ago, this has been the first opportunity for them to test ahead of what will already be a delayed start to the season.

With driver details identified over the now similarly liveried Vantage GT4, it appears that drivers Tatsuya Hoshino, Manabu Orido and Kenji Hama are the ones preparing themselves for the forthcoming season double header opener from Sportsland Sugo Circuit towards the end of April although that does need official verification on that point.

Sugo takes on the mantle of the first round after the original season opener from Suzuka and due to start this weekend was cancelled in the early days of the COVID-19 onslaught at the beginning of the month.

Thankful for these photos from the team, an AMR fan has also posted video footage of the car at this test - lovely to see and thanks for sharing as it certainly helps to break the silence!!
