Three hours of racing await British GT attendees at Donington Park this weekend

Round two of the British GT Championship quickly rolls into town at Donington Park this weekend off the back of two exciting races from the opening round of the revised 2020 season at Oulton Park two weeks ago.
Despite just two Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4's from the TF Sport stable again being the sole AMR representation competing within what will be three hours of collective racing on Sunday, they do so having scored a trio of podium finishes over the opening weekends double header.
In the days earlier race, the #95 car of Connor O'Brien and Patrick Kibble secured a lights to flag class win from their class pole position start whilst the sister #97 car of Jamie Caroline and Dan Vaughan scored their first Championship podium finish with a close P3 finish.
Race 2 was however a little more chalk and cheese for the team as O'Brien was effectively 'taken out' by a passing GT3 on his out lap after Kibble's fine start to the race whilst the #97 car went on to secure a P2 overall finish but P1 in their Silver class. Unfortunately, that race was reduced to just half an hour of racing as delays in recovering the wreckage of the three race cars involved meant it finished under caution behind the Safety Car.
Hopefully with the #95 car now fully repaired and shaken down in readiness, the four Aston Martin Drivers Academy participants are ready for their toughest test yet with a two hour endurance race on Sunday morning with a new for 2020 second, one hour sprint later in the afternoon.
With only three hours between races, preservation of the car during the longer race will be key as teams will be hard pressed to sort any significant accident damage between races. TF Sport even find themselves split between countries as they support racing efforts this weekend at both Donington Park and at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium with the return of the World Endurance Championship.
Again, those wishing to attend this weekends events at Donington Park do need to secure their admission tickets on-line before tomorrow afternoon as again, tickets will not be available on the gates.
