Momentum needed at Silverstone for Feathers AMR to continue their GTH GT Cup charge

Wednesday, July 26, 2023

The GT Cup Championship heads to Silverstone for what will be their fifth round of their seven round season this weekend for four more races around the full Grand Prix loop.

Previous rounds from Donington Park, Brands Hatch, Snetterton and most recently Oulton Park at the start of the month has seen the #82 Feathers Motorsport Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 of James Guess and Tom Canning hit the class podium winning trail throughout the solo sprint runs for Guess alongside the pit stop punctuated endurances races for the pair so far for the crew to not only lead their GTH Class but also be placed fourth in the overall Championship table.

With just a 34.5-point deficit within their overall Championship ambitions but a similar 32.5-point lead within class, these final three rounds of the season will obviously determine whether the red, white and blue liveried Aston Martin will be the pick of the crop come the final race of the season from Snetterton later in early October.

This weekend’s entry list sees for another twenty-two car, multi-class entry with the #82 Feathers AMR being one of seven GTH Classed cars being entered with themselves and the #14 Greystone McLaren 570s being the only non-Mercedes AMG GT4 platform again.

Sometimes it’s better to be different!!

The race programme will see Free Practice and Qualifying take place on Saturday morning ahead of the first sprint (solo driving for Guess) and first pit stop race for all before the same is mirrored again on Sunday.
