D'Station Racing start on their Super GT preparations from Okayama

Wednesday, February 14, 2024

The Japanese D’Station Racing Aston Martin Racing Partner team was back in track action as they started their domestic Super GT season preparations from the Okayama circuit earlier today.

Having spent the last two weeks in Dubai and Abu Dhabi seeing out their cross winter Asian Le Mans Series commitments, the team found themselves in something of a state of flux as the tested with one of their 16A versions of their AMR Vantage GT3 with an ad-hoc crew but with all their new ‘stuff’ waiting in the wings.

Running again within the GT300 class, the availability of designated drivers Tomonobu Fujii and Marco Sorensen was not quite possible, so the team ran with a test crew of Fujii and Tatsuya Tanaka as they tested with the new Dunlop control tyre with one of their older GT3’s as they hadn’t had time nor opportunity to make their freshly delivered 2024 iteration of car ready in time for today’s test.

The team did also suggest a change in colour scheme ahead of the new season which kicks off at Okayama later in April.
