The Italian GT Sprint Championship goes again this weekend from Mugello

The Italian Gran Turismo Championship resumes its 2024 activities this weekend with is third round of its Sprint Series from Mugello with the Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 of L&A Infinity again supporting the forty-nine GT3 and GT Cup combined grid.

Featuring two fifty minute plus one lap races over the course of the weekend, its back to just a two-driver line up for the #5 L&A Infinity GT3 Pro-Am entry of Mattia Di Giusto and William Alatalo after the preceding endurance round of the Championship (ran also at Mugello) saw Alatalo partner Jorge Lorenzo and Mahaveer Raghunathan to a P11 finish at the end of that three-hour affair.

Sprint rounds so far from both Misano and Imola sees the #5 crew resting in nineth place overall on twenty-five points – sum forty points behind the championship leading BMW M4 crew with round a final round from Monza still to come after Mugello.

Track action for these guys begin tomorrow with the first Free Practice session before Q1 and Q2 early on Saturday morning before race one later in the afternoon and race two Sunday afternoon.
