This weeks news in brief

Earlier this week in Paris, we saw the SRO hold their annual prize giving gala dinner where both Series and class winners were officially recognised and presented with their spoils.
With the likes of Victor Weyrich and Matteo Villagomez collecting their FFSA GT4 Series Silver Class title along that of Mikey Porter, Jamie Day and Will Orton, Marc Warren for their British GT Championship efforts, there was at also one surprise presentation for another familiar face.
Presented with the Phillipe Charriol Award, Beechdean AMR boss Andrew Howard was recognised for his efforts over the years as one of the SRO’s many Gentleman drivers within their midst.

Then over at Daytona International Speedway (and indeed other circuits within the USA before that) we have seen the Van Der Steur Racing and Rebel Rock Racing teams both in track testing action at the Floridian circuit ahead of another early start to their race programme in January.
Having already sold their #19 AMR Vantage GT4 to the WRL affiliated 89X Motorsport team, the Van Der Steur team were again out in the new 2024 Vantage GT4 Evo that they will again run within the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series (with an undefined crew as yet) alongside their older 17A variant that Brady Behrman will presumably run again within either the MPC and/or VP Racing Sportscar Challenge.
It would be the same for the #71 Rebel Rock crew and their second season with the Evo model.
Further afield again, Stanley Yang from the BSEM AMR team has also been advertising the arrival of one such new Vantage GT4 Evo within his local theatre of competition although, and despite what is visible within the images, we cannot substantiate just where and with whom this might be with.
Then back to the classifieds – more surplus AMR Vantage racing cars are making it out on listings for sale, just like the two former Todd Pariott Flying Lizard Motorsport prepared cars that he run with the team last season within both the GT America and GT4 America Series.
Finally, Aston Martin F1 racer Fernando Alonso was also back out with an AMR Vantage GT3 amongst other cars as the F1 star and his own driver management concern were out for their annual end of season thrash with both corporate and their own driver base.
This time at Motorland Aragon where the Belgian CometoYou Racing provided some of the hardware for all to enjoy.
