Two AMR's for The Prologue

The FIA WEC have today confirmed that two Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE's shall attend the series official test (called The Prologue) at the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France over Friday 25th to Saturday 26th March.

According to the published entry list we will expect to see both the #97 Pro car that is assigned to Fernando Rees, Richie Stanaway and Jonny Adam for the full season together along with the #98 Am car of Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy and Mathias Lauda amongst the 27 other entries.

Not all the rostered WEC drivers are expected to participate during the test.


Drivers that have been nominated for the test are listed as Marco Sorensen (who missed the AMR winter test at Valencia last week) and Fernando Rees in the #97 and all three drivers of the #98 car who we also believe did not participate in the winter test. The test will also be the first opportunity to see both Pro and Am AMR platforms with Dunlop rubber 'compete' on the same track as their Michelin shod adversaries relative to the chassis iteration (Am class cars are once again of one year old platforms compared to their Pro class equivalents).

Saturday will also allow for free public access into the circuit and paddock areas and includes an autograph session in the pit lane during the lunch time break. Confirmation of access arrangements can be found here.
