If first you don't succeed for Miedecke Stone Motorsport in GT Asia……….

Wednesday, July 13, 2016

Having endured something of a difficult baptism into the GT Asia series, Australian based Aston Martin Racing Partner Team Miedecke Stone Racing move on up to Fuji International Speedway this weekend for rounds 7 & 8.

Racing alongside George Miedecke in their #95 V12 Vantage GT3 will be former Matt Stone Racing team mate and Australian Porsche Carrera Cup Championship driver Ashley Walsh who replaces Nathan Morcom who helped pilot the car to two twelfth place finishes two weeks ago at Okayama.

Reports suggest that this event will be Walsh's first experience of FIA homologated GT3 machinery and the words 'last minute replacement' was to confirm a late decision by team principal Andrew Miedecke not to race alongside son George and source a quicker driver to help develop the car further.

Three - forty five minute Free Practice session swill take place on Friday with two (single driver) qualifying session on Saturday morning before Race 1 Saturday afternoon and Race 2 on Sunday.
