Testing continues apace for New Vantage GTE

Wednesday, December 06, 2017

Great to see that Aston Martin Racing have been able to make use of the UK's unseasonably warm winter months just prior to Christmas to get in some more valuable local testing with their new Vantage GTE.

Normally akin to having to travel to southern Spain and Portugal at this time of year, even clocking in a few laps around the Brands Hatch smaller Indy circuit worked well for the team with works driver Darren Turner able to come away having 'learned lots' despite the low track temperatures.

The driver of the car in the top photograph is however Andrew Howard having what we think was his first experience of the car after plans earlier in the year at their Snetterton test were changed.

From our discussions with the team at the car's launch a couple of weeks ago, the car has yet to reach its final,  homologated  finish and todays test would only have been to try out something else recently fitted or adjusted as well as the performance of their new Michelin rubber at lower temperatures.

That lime and black camo livery still looks great..........!!
