Ground to make up for the AMR teams as the FFSA GT4 visits Spa Francorchamps

For the French national series, the FFSA GT4 will be hosting their fourth round of their six-round season from Spa but unlike the British GT this time, the entry list for this weekend’s events has seen a wrath of changes from within its Aston Martin Racing powered Partner and Customer teams.
Still with an eight AMR Vantage GT4 entry amongst its expected entry list of forty-three cars, previous accidents, incidents and injury has seen both the Mirage Racing and AGS Events Racing team make changes within their line ups to accommodate these unforeseen events.
Whilst things remain a constant within the #161 AGS car of Didier Dumaine/Christophe Carriere, #92 and #74 Racing Spirit of Lemans cars of Ronald Basso/Sandro Perissouthi and Romain Carton/Victor Weyrich, the #48 GPA Racing (stepping away from the previously numbered #8 car) of David Pouget/Matthieu Casalonga and the #72 sister car of Kevin Jimenez/Florent Grizaud - there are changes within the following cars.
An injury to Romano Ricci has seen him unable to attend this weekend so his position within the #13 Mirage Racing AMR with Valentin Hasse-Clot has been taken by Arnold Robin.
After the car barrel rolling last time out at Albi, there is still no #89 AGS Events Racing car, so a recovered Loris Cabirou moves across to the #7 car of Hugo Bac (at the expense of Ewen Hachez) with team boss Nicolas Gomar moving across to the #79 car with Stephane Desbrosse (and at the expense of Lauris Nauroy) in that car.
Like the British GT, this weekend’s events see no change to the usual running of the FFSA GT4 Series with two one-hour races being again scheduled on each of Saturday and Sunday after private testing on Friday and Free Practice with Qualifying on Saturday before an evening opening race for these guys starting at 20:35hrs. Sundays race will be at 14:50hrs local.
A mixed bag of results for these AMR runners last time at Albi saw the #72 GPA Racing crew lose touch with the lead in their Am class after an unfortunate DNF in race 2 last time (dropping to P3) with a poor second race for the #13 Mirage car again saw them become further detached from the lead in their Pro-Am class (now P5) and with the closest runners in Silver (the #74 Racing Spirit of Lemans car) also lying in fifth but some forty one points behind the leaders so there is much to be achieved this weekend from all the AMR runners.
