Good results for the AMR runners at the ADAC N24 Qualifying weekend

Apart from one, it appeared to be all systems go for the three remaining Aston Martin Racing powered crews at this weekends ADAC N24 Qualifying weekend around the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

Two cars apiece from both the Prosport Racing and Dorr Motorsport teams all arrived at the circuit ahead of today’s four-hour event but sadly the #28 Prosport Racing AMR Vantage GT3 of Alex Brundle and Mike David Ortmann suffered damage during one of the earlier qualifying sessions that forced the rebranded car to be retired from the event.

That left the teams SP10 class #78 Vantage GT4 of Guido Dumarey, Yevgen Sokolovskiy, Andreas Patzelt and Hugo Sasse to hold the teams attention, which they did eventually finishing second in class at the end of the four hour ‘race’ albeit one lap down to the class leader.

Then there were the two Dorr run cars – again one GT3 running in the SP9 Pro-Am Class with drivers Darren Turner with brothers Phil and Ben Dorr as well as their #67 SP8T classed Vantage with a four-driver line up of Theo Nouet, Frank Weishar, Rolf Scheibner and Sven Schadler.

Making amends for an error at the NLS2 event last month that cost them seat time around the circuit, the trio place their #69 car within the top fifteen (P2 in class) and ready for the Top 15 shootout when we get to the main event itself later next month.

The teams #67 car also finished the job earlier today, finishing second in class – again, a lap down to the class winner.

The ADAC N24 itself takes place over the weekend of the 18-21st May.
